What is a Flash Element?
A Flash element is a piece of a Macromedia Flash project built to be easily re-used in other projects. Practicality is what drives the concept of elements, and I personally use every element I offer; many on a regular basis.

Why an Element instead of a Component?
While a component and an element achieve the exact same end goal, the primary difference is that an element is 'unhindered.' Components must be designed to fit into the component architecture; the result is limited control for the end Flash user, and bulky procedures to do simple custimization, such as skinning.

An element on the other hand is completely unhindered; you are given the piece, which you can then easily modify, adapt, plug in or take apart. Setup is as easy as a component, but custimization and visual skinning is much easier. Wether you are a developer or a designer, Flash Elements will give you far better control over functionality and appearence than a component. Nothing is kept from your immediant reach with an element.

Request a Custom Element
If you have an element in mind, feel free to request it for future release. Future elements are based on requests and demand; you're feedback counts!

I am also available for customizing existing elements and other Flash related products on this site.
